Nyc Handyman episode #6
Hello everyone,
Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were filled with joy and special moments with loved ones. As we welcome 2025, I'm excited to keep sharing ideas, tips, and updates to make your life hopefully a little easier and brighter.
Thank you for your ongoing support and feedback—your input is invaluable. As always, I promise no spam, just one handy and helpful email each month.
January's Handy Tip: Start the Year Organized
Declutter for a Fresh Start: Start the year with a clutter-free home! Donate or recycle items you no longer use. Clear space in closets, drawers, and cabinets to set the tone for an organized year ahead.
Check Your Smoke & CO Detectors: A new year is a great time to test and replace batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Staying safe is always in season.
Tackle Small Repairs & Prep for Spring: Got a squeaky door or wobbly shelf? Fix those small annoyances now! January's also perfect for refreshing your space—redecorate, assemble furniture, or mount a TV. A few updates can make your apartment more functional and inviting. Need help? Call a pro (like me!) for quick fixes.
Fun Activity Alert:
Winter Village at Bryant Park: Ice skating, hot chocolate, and cozy shopping! Bryant Park’s Winter Village is open through March and offers free entry to the rink (just bring your skates or rent a pair).
Restaurant Week NYC: January 21 - February 9 brings discounted prix-fixe menus at some of the city’s top eateries. Treat yourself to a new dining experience without breaking the bank.
(No affiliation to these events—just sharing the fun!)
Corny Joke of the Day: Why don’t skeletons ever fight back? Because they don’t have the guts!
Check my Instagram for work updates and funny handyman videos. I'm here for all your handyman needs and other home projects.

Nyc Handyman episode #5
Hello everyone,
Our 5th newsletter is here, and November has officially arrived! Thank you for your continued support and feedback—it’s great to know this newsletter makes NYC apartment life a little easier for you. As always, no spam, just one helpful email each month.
November's Handy Tip: Prepare for Fall Chills
Seal Drafty Windows: With cooler temperatures on the way, now’s the time to check for drafty windows. A simple fix like weatherstripping can help keep your apartment warm and reduce energy bills. If you're renting, consider temporary solutions like draft stoppers or plastic film kits that won’t damage your windows.
Get Your Heating System Ready: If you use radiators or baseboard heating, give them a check-up. Bleed your radiators to get rid of trapped air and boost efficiency. If you have a portable space heater, give it a quick dusting to prevent any odors when you start using it. For other systems, remember to check your filters for optimal performance.
Fun Activity Alert: As the holiday season kicks off, check out the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! A must-see tradition, the parade features giant balloons, festive floats, and live performances throughout the streets of NYC. It’s perfect for all ages and brings a special kind of joy to the city.
For those who enjoy a good laugh, the NYC Comedy Festival runs this month with top comedians performing all around the city. Whether you’re a fan of stand-up, improv, or sketch comedy, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at this beloved NYC event.
(No affiliation to either event—just sharing the fun!)

Nyc Handyman episode #4
Hello Everyone,
Our 4th newsletter is here! Another month has flown by. Thanks for your continued support and kind words. It's wonderful to know this newsletter helps you navigate NYC apartment life. As always, no spam—just one helpful email each month.
September's Handy Tip: Keep Your Home Clean and Fresh
Purify Your Air: New York apartments can feel stuffy, especially with windows often closed. Invest in an air purifier and consider adding air-cleaning plants like snake plants or spider plants. Don't forget to regularly clean or replace your AC filters.
Oven Overhaul: A clean oven can make a world of difference in your cooking. For regular cleaning, wipe up spills promptly and use a baking soda and water paste for stubborn stains. If your oven has a self-cleaning function, use it sparingly (2-3 times a year) as it can be hard on the oven. Remember to ensure good ventilation and keep pets away during self-cleaning. For a natural alternative, try steam cleaning with a bowl of water at 450°F for 20-30 minutes.
Fun Activity Alert: Whether you have kids or just want to feel young again, Big Bounce America is coming to Queens! I'm going to the adult session in October!. Check out their Instagram and website for ticket info. (Just sharing a fun event, no affiliation.)
Corny Joke of the Day: Why did the handyman take up gardening? He wanted to grow his business!

Nyc Handyman episode #3
Hello everyone,
Welcome to our 3rd newsletter! Your continued support and positive feedback keep me motivated to bring you valuable content each month. As always, I promise just one email a month, packed with useful tips and updates for your NYC living
August's Handy Tip: Enhancing Your NYC Home Experience
Noise Control: Living in the city means dealing with noise. Soundproof your apartment by adding thick curtains, rugs, or even soundproofing panels on the walls. Draft stoppers at the bottom of doors can also keep out unwanted noise—and save on energy costs!
Urban Gardening: Bring a touch of nature indoors with potted plants, wall-mounted planters, or hanging baskets. Opt for low-maintenance varieties like pothos or air plants to add greenery without sacrificing floor space. Plus, plants improve indoor air quality by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen—a win-win!
Fun Activity Alert: NYC Summer Streets are still going strong with exciting activities for the whole family. Enjoy free concerts at SummerStage, explore the Rooftop Cinema Club for classic movie nights under the NYC sky, and more. (Note: I'm not affiliated with these events, just sharing some great options!)
Corny Joke of the Day: Why did the handyman bring a ladder to the bar? Because he heard the drinks were on the house!

Nyc Handyman episode #2
Hello everyone,
Welcome to our second newsletter! It's been wonderful hearing from so many of you via email and in person that you’re enjoying it. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and I'm excited to keep this going monthly. Rest assured, no spam—just one email a month with useful updates and tips you can actually use
July's Handy Tip: Optimizing Your NYC Apartment
Enhance Lighting: Boost natural light in NYC apartments by strategically placing mirrors to reflect brightness. Choose energy-efficient LED bulbs and add floor or table lamps in darker spots.
Maximize Space: Opt for multi-functional furniture like beds with storage, wall-mounted fold-out desks, or coffee tables with extra storage. These solutions optimize functionality without overcrowding your space.
Thermostat for Your Fridge: Nearly half of home refrigerators are too warm, risking food safety. Keep the fridge at 40°F or below and the freezer at 0°F. Use a freestanding appliance thermometer to monitor and adjust settings.
Corny Joke of the Day: Why did the scarecrow become a successful handyman? Because he was outstanding in his field!
